As the world’s leading anti-wrinkle treatment, Botox® allows you to look naturally refreshed.

In experienced hands, the treatment is safe and predictable, takes less than 15 minutes and has only a minimum of downtime. Not surprisingly it became the go-to treatment during a lunch break.

Mr. Bran has been training his peers in injectables for years. He has established new treatments and refers to injectables as THE LIQUID KNIFE – allowing us to prevent aging and rejuvenate a face without surgery.

“I use the LIQUID KNIFE whenever my patients are looking for a safe and reliable enhancement with a minimum of downtime. A good result is always subtle and discreet, maintaining facial expression and highlighting attractive features of the face.” – Greg Bran –

RISKS BOTOX® TREATMENT

In accordance with the Montgomery judgement, the following risks and side-effects are associated with Botulinum Toxin A injection:

Risks BOTOX® Treatment

What is Botox®?

Botox® is the abbreviation of Botulinum toxin A, it is a purified protein that selectively relaxes wrinkle-causing muscles in your face. Depending on the area treated, it smoothens creases and fine lines, lifts eyebrows and mouth corners, or slims the jaw angle. All these effects result in a refreshed, younger and more attractive appearance.

How does Botox® work?

Small amounts of Botox® are injected into specific facial muscles. Within 3 to 4 days the nerve ending connected to the muscle has picked up the protein. Once Botox® is in the nerve, it acts like an insulator, relaxing only the muscles that have been injected.

Is Botox® safe?

Botox® is probably the worlds most researched cosmetic product. Due to its excellent safety profile, the medical world is quite enthusiastic about introducing new therapeutic indications every year. It has FDA approval since 2002 and is applied in the millions in the U.K. every year.

How long does Botox® last?

Results usually show 3 to 4 days after injection and last approximately between 3 to 4 months. Subsequent Botox®-Injections can lead to an elongated effect. The effect of Botox® can last up to 6 months in some treatments (e.g. sweating or jaw slimming).

What should you not do after Botox® injections?

In order to avoid any infections of the injection sites, do not touch the skin where Botox® was injected, and refrain from any sauna or steam bath in the first 24 hours after your treatment. Avoid the consumption of alcohol or strenuous exercise for 24 hours, as an increase in blood flow might move the product to nearby muscles. Avoid any facials, peels, microdermabrasion in the first 24hours.

Do Botox® injections hurt?

We use the smallest needles available on the market. Currently they have the size of skin pores, which makes the discomfort of injections minimal. No anaesthetic is necessary.

I am pregnant – can I have Botox®?

During your pregnancy, and while you are nursing Botox® injections should not be performed.

What are contraindications for Botox®?

Patients that suffer from muscle disorders (e.g. Myasthenia gravis) or disorders of the peripheral nerves (e.g. Lou Gehrig’s disease, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) cannot be treated with Botox®.

What can complement Botox® injections

Other beneficial, non-surgical procedures that can be performed in conjunction with Botox® include dermal filler injections, Profhilo, Skin peels or Laser treatment.
